Wintrust Commercial Real Estate Issues $44 M in Debt Financing for MAX Technology Center

Wintrust Commercial Real Estate is pleased to announce $44 million in debt financing, co-originated with First Western Trust Bank, to Broe Real Estate Group (BREG) and Alvarez & Marsal Capital Real Estate (A&M CapRE) for their joint venture of MAX Technology Center (MTC), a 475,000 square foot innovation campus and manufacturing facility, located in Longmont CO.

MAX Technology Center’s transformation has focused on advance manufacturing, life science and creative office users. Located within Colorado’s technology triangle, the redevelopment includes upgrades to common areas and a highly-amenitized environment to assist employers in attracting and retaining talent. BREG and A&M CapRE have signed their first and lead tenant, Micron Technologies, Inc., to the largest flex lease space in the state this year.

Funding for this project was co-originated by Wintrust Commercial Real Estate and First Western Trust Bank. Knowing the impact of this project to the region, Wintrust and FWTB found unique, highly customized lending solutions for MTC, an important factor to Broe and A&M.

“MAX Technology Center represents an exciting leap forward for Longmont. Opportunities to work on truly unique assets like this don’t come around very often; we are fortunate to partner with Broe and A&M,” says Colorado Market President Andy Kolos of Wintrust Commercial Real Estate. “In a rising-rate environment, execution was critical and our partnership with First Western Trust Bank provided the Broe and A&M joint-venture a reliable source of capital to execute their plan.”

Acquired in 2017, MAX Technology Center's 25-acre innovation campus is the largest block of contiguous office space in Colorado and represents an important economic driver to the region.

“With our local team in place, we know how important this development can be, not just for Longmont, but for the broader community,” said Bart Johnson, president Wintrust Bank, N.A. “I’m proud of our team and partners for finding competitive ways to finance this project.”
