After launching into the Colorado market with their Commercial Real Estate team, Wintrust is proud to announce the hire of Malcolm Evans as Managing Director of its Commercial Banking team. Malcolm will continue to work with private equity firms, operating companies (including contractors, service providers and health care providers) with revenues in excess of $10 million. Additionally, Malcolm will expand and manage the Denver-based commercial banking team.

Malcolm joins Wintrust with over 30 years banking experience. Prior to joining Wintrust, Malcolm served as SVP/Senior Relationship Manager with UMB Bank where he was responsible for business development and portfolio management of middle-market corporate banking clients, primarily in Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. Malcolm is also actively involved in the Denver Metro-community, serving as Chair of the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce since 2015 and Chair of Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network (RMIAN) since 2021.

Throughout the next several quarters, Wintrust will continue its expansion by adding new hires to the team and increasing its physical presence with office space in downtown Denver.
