Wintrust Wealth Management appoints three new board members

CHICAGO – March 11, 2019 – Wintrust Wealth Management announces the appointment of three new members to the board of directors of three of its companies. Joining the board are Michael Kamradt, Dr. Suzet McKinney, and Celena Roldán.

Collectively, they have a diverse perspective on leadership, business, and philanthropy. Moreover, they all have strong ties to the communities we serve, which will help us further strengthen our position as Chicago’s wealth manager.”

Background on new directors

Mr. Michael Kamradt retired from the CME Group in 2018 where he was executive director of the International Markets Team. In that capacity, he was responsible for leading the growth efforts of CME’s exchange traded products with Central Banks. Mr. Kamradt has more than 40 years of experience in financial markets including management positions in investment management, sales, trading, research, and consulting. Mr. Kamradt received his bachelor’s degree in business finance from Western Illinois University and his MBA in finance from the University of Chicago.

Dr. Suzet M. McKinney currently serves as executive director of the Illinois Medical District, a 24/7/365 environment that includes 560 acres of medical research facilities, labs, a biotech business incubator, universities, raw land development areas, four hospitals, and more than 40 healthcare related facilities. It is one of the largest urban medical districts in the United States. She is a board member of Susan G. Komen Chicago, Thresholds, and the African American Legacy of the Chicago Community Trust. Dr. McKinney holds her doctorate from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Brandeis University, where she was also a Howard Hughes Fellow. She also received her master of public health degree, in health care administration, and certificates, in managed care and health care administration, from Benedictine University.

Ms. Celena Roldán is the CEO of the American Red Cross of Chicago and Northern Illinois, the fourth largest region of the American Red Cross. It responds to 1,400 disasters annually and has an annual budget of approximately $16 million. The Chicago and Northern Illinois region covers 21 counties and teaches health, safety, and disaster preparedness skills to more than a quarter-million people annually in the Chicagoland area. Ms. Roldán was selected to participate in the Marshall Memorial Fellowship Program, Leadership Greater Chicago, and the Bank of America Neighborhood Excellence Leadership Program. Among other leadership roles, she served on Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Education Transition Team and the Early Childhood Task Force, as well as Governor Quinn’s Illinois Human Services Commission. She serves on the Board of UnidosUS, Illinois Action for Children, and Metropolitan Family Services. Ms. Roldán earned a master’s degree in early childhood administration from National Louis University, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
