We’re proud to unveil our new mural in partnership with the community-based nonprofit, Search Inc. (Search). Since 1968, Search has provided high-quality services and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including supported living arrangements, adult learning and employment programs, medical and behavioral therapy, and home-based services.
This organization serves more than 500 individuals and their families located throughout Chicagoland, from the southwest side of Chicago to the northern suburbs of Waukegan. As Chicago’s Bank®, Wintrust is proud to partner with this crucial organization to empower the people in our area.
Like a quilt, the mural is made up of patches with a variety of colors and imagery to represent the impact collaboration can have on a community. Every piece on this work of art is stitched together by a shared vision: the creation of an inclusive community for people with disabilities.
We hope this mural inspires viewers to learn more about Search and get connected by visiting its website. Whether you’re looking for services to support an intellectual disability, a career in direct services for people with disabilities, a social mission to support, or ways to make your business more inclusive, visit search-inc.org to learn more.
If you're looking for another way to support Search, consider attending its annual fundraiser, Search Trailblazers, on May 20 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. This live event honors visionaries in the field and also includes videos, a silent auction, and more. All donations made at the event go directly to support the mission and programs of Search.
