Honoring Juneteenth


Wintrust is committed to serving and empowering all communities that make up the diverse areas we call home. We’re proud to celebrate Juneteenth within our organization and beyond.

Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to ensure that all enslaved people were freed. This came more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, and is honored as the end to slavery in the U.S.

To stand in solidarity with our team members, customers, and the communities we serve, we’re providing our employees with a floating holiday to use as they see fit. Throughout the month of June, we’re also offering a match on employee donations made to local and national organizations making an impact in Black communities. We’re proud to partner with many of the organizations featured below year-round, and we hope you’ll consider supporting them throughout June and beyond:
