John McKinnon is chairman of Wintrust Commercial Banking. He previously served as chairman and CEO and president and CEO.

He began his career in the Commercial Bank Training Program at American National Bank and worked for its successor banks, retiring from JPMorgan Chase in 2009.

John is a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College and the University of Iowa.
