John McKinnon is chairman and CEO of Wintrust Commercial Banking. He previously served as president and CEO from 2010 to 2020.

He began his career in the Commercial Bank Training Program at American National Bank and worked for its successor banks, retiring from JPMorgan Chase in 2009.

John is a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College and the University of Iowa.
